Ashraf Dagestani

I am from Syria and now live in Istanbul. I was engaged in the Syrian revolution from the beginning. I had to be involved because I believe in freedom. As a photojournalist/activist I made a lot of reports about the situation in my country. I shared many of these on social media and on television. Now I am wanted by the Syrian government. If I went back to Syria, I would be imprisoned immediately. I have permission to stay in Istanbul, but I can’t move out of here. One day I hope Syria will be free and I can have papers to allow me to move between countries.
