I’m a Syrian refugee living in Istanbul. I’m a sound engineer and musician. When I was in Syria, after 2011, I started to become interested in civil society working on human, women’s and children’s rights. We were working behind the scenes. I knew that work was dangerous, but I did it anyway. The law was so devastating for women.we couldn’t raise our voice, we could not tell our stories.So i started looking for ways to tell our true stories of how strong we are despite everything that has happened to us.
